Ria and Josh's wedding day at the Detroit Zoo was full of gentle, tender moments between this deeply connected couple. The ceremony took place in the enchanting butterfly garden, surrounded by fluttering wings and delicate blooms. And we got to explore the charming zoo grounds for their pictures. Everywhere we turned, there was lush greenery and beautiful florals.
We kicked the day off with an emotional first look in the butterfly garden!
After that incredibly tender and moving first look, we ventured out into the zoo grounds to capture the bride and groom pictures.
Once we'd completed the bride and groom pictures, it was time for family pictures and wedding party pics! Here's a few of my favorites below.
Next, the wedding party retreated upstairs to a little conference room, to hide away for the last few emotional minutes before the ceremony!
The ceremony was truly like a fairytale in a sunlit glen. Ria and Josh said their vows in the lush butterfly garden, surrounded by their closest family and friends, while a waterfall bubbled happily in the background and butterflies floated through the air.
Immediately after the ceremony, Ria and Josh retreated to the conference room again to sign the papers before making their grand entrance into the reception. They had a couple of moments of privacy upstairs before their friends joined them, and they both were just shining with connection and joy.
After the papers were signed and sealed, Ria and Josh headed downstairs to make their grand entrance and kick off their reception!
Ria and Josh's first dance was so sweet and gentle. I loved the trust and connection between them.
And then the party began!
